CEO Mel Cox talks about how the firm uses RedView Tasks to manage the team’s busy workloads and achieve efficiencies that benefit the firm and their clients.
With offices located in Cannonvale, Proserpine, and Bowen, PD Law focuses on shaping up their services to the needs of their clients, rather than force-fitting traditional legal offerings.
Executive Summary
PD Law uses LEAP as their PMS and Mel and her team have found RedView tasks to add an extra edge when it comes to managing workflows. ‘What we like with RedView is that when you’re managing a busy team and there’s different workloads to be handled, it gives you clarity around where the capacity is and who can focus on which tasks. And the great thing is that RedView gives you a snapshot of the tasks within the firm in an instant.’
Challenges
Before using RedView, the firm faced challenges in analysing the flow of work within the team. ‘Back then, it was more manual - I would copy myself on emails and flag them,’ said Mel, ‘but I’d end up with a massive Inbox. So it was really quite hard to round up what work you had out there - I had some stored in email, other info was stored within the matters.’
How RedView Helped
‘Now that we’ve got RedView Tasks, it’s meant that we’re all able to gauge the workflow at a glance - putting everyone on the same page.’ Mel believes that RedView is ‘solving the problem of not knowing - now it’s given everybody absolute clarity on where their jobs are and at what stage they’re at. And we can see when tasks are started and when they’re completed.’ Mel says that the team are now used to consulting RedView to rearrange tasks. ‘They don’t ask why someone has a backlog anymore, they refer to the RedView tasks board and rethink the resources required to help someone that’s overloaded.’
RESULTS, ROI AND FUTURE PLANS
‘We’ve settled on RedView now,’ said Mel. ‘It’s pretty simple really - it helps our people meet timelines and get work done without chaos. We used to blame our systems when things were disorganised. We don’t do that anymore.’
